​Experience & History:

• 35 + years in various segments of the hospitality industry with a range of management responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, the development and management of; hotels, restaurants, marinas, bars, nightclubs, diving operations and consulting companies.

• International experience that extends to management positions in St. Thomas U.S.V.I., Belize and the Bahamas in addition to consultancy assignments and activities that have included Russia, Brazil, Barbados and many other Caribbean countries.

• Qualified Information Technology consultant in the areas of Microsoft technologies, network design, strategic planning for the development and maintenance of enterprise wide information management infrastructure(s) and applications. Holder of MCSE, MCSA, MCP for Windows platforms. Projects have included work for YUM! Brands, Applebee’s, Pebble Beach Company, American Club (Kohler), The Island Hotel (Newport Beach), Sandy Lane (Barbados), Rosinter Group (Russia), Microsoft Corporation, Visa International, Subway (NAASF Group), IBM and others.

• Experience in turnaround and take over situations, performing these activities as the corporate operations manager for Brookshire Hotels, a hotel management company specializing in RTC and distressed property asset management.

• Experienced, articulate public speaker and lecturer having addressed conferences at trade shows, guest lecturer at Universities, client gatherings and Web seminars. Co-author of hospitality management text book on decision making and profit planning required text for Hospitality Accounting course at Florida international University. Associate professor of Hospitality Management and tourism for private university in Belize.

• Broad knowledge of general business management and accounting. Former business owner, manager of small professional teams and large employee enterprises (350+), budget preparation and management experience with Profit and Loss responsibility.

• Research Projects:

  • Microsoft Corp. – Study of server product use among hospitality industry vendor community worldwide

  • NEC – New product research into competing devices in hospitality industry

  • Irvine Company – Research into amenity and systems in use among ultra high end resorts and spas

  • Visa International – Study on use of handheld payment devices in the fast food industry

  • Belize Ministry of Natural Resources - Study undertaken under contract with UNDP for Data Sharing among ministry departments.
